learning. Since many children come here to educate themselves, it becomes
mandatory to clean the premises on a daily basis and keep sanitation of it too.
Sanitation, hygiene and cleanliness are all extremely important for a students’
health. The concept of sanitation not only includes keeping the surroundings
clean but also having access to clean drinking water, clean and healthy food
which is nutritious, and adequate treatment of human excreta and sewage. Having
a clean environment and access to all these basic facilities helps to keep the
health of a person in check which in turns results in less frequency of a
person in falling sick.
It becomes important to promote sanitation
as lack of sanitation often causes diarrheal symptoms. Proper guidance and heed
should be paid to improve and maintain sanitation at home as well as in school
premises. It can be improved through various steps, firstly by keeping in check
the cleanliness of toilets, secondly by promoting hygiene habits through
education and learning in children and make them aware of the causes of
sanitation.
